Description

The Spanish inquisition was the mass expulsion of what the Catholics of the Iberian Peninsula considered to be heretics, those people would include, Moors, Muslims, Jews Protestants, and anyone who was not a devout Catholic. Torture was often used to weed out heretics and the Spanish inquisition was responsible for about 3,000 to 5,000 deaths. for the King and Queen, the Inquisition allowed for them to bolster their influence with both the people and the church granting them more political power.
